Who We Are
Cedar Harmony opened its doors in Kowloon City with a straightforward purpose: to offer elderly residents in Hong Kong a home that feels genuinely like one. Not a facility. Not a ward. A home where people wake up to familiar faces, share meals at a communal table, and find their afternoons shaped by gentle rhythm rather than obligation.
We serve seniors who are largely independent in their daily lives but who would benefit from the company, the steady support, and the structure that comes with communal living. Our team does not replace family — we work alongside it, keeping families informed and involved in ways that suit them.
Our residence is modest in scale, and we consider that a strength. With a smaller group of residents, our staff can give each person the kind of attention that matters: remembering how someone takes their tea, knowing which music lifts their spirits, noticing when someone has had a quieter day than usual.
We are a non-medical home. We do not provide nursing or clinical care. What we do provide is a warm, well-run environment where ordinary daily life is handled with thoughtfulness — so that residents and their families can simply be present with each other.
What Guides Us
Dignity First
Every resident is treated as an individual with preferences, history, and worth. We adapt to each person, not the other way around.
Communal Warmth
Life is better shared. Our home is designed for quiet togetherness — meals, music, and afternoons spent in gentle community.
Open Communication
We keep families in the loop. Whether through regular updates or conversations at visit time, you are always part of your loved one's life here.
The People at Cedar Harmony
Our small, dedicated team is what makes this home feel the way it does.

Albert Chan
Activities Coordinator

Sylvia Leung
Family Liaison
Sylvia is the main point of contact for families, handling enquiries, exploratory stay consultations, and ongoing communication. She brings patience and clarity to every conversation.
Our Standards and Approach
Resident Intake Assessment
Before arrival, we gather information on each resident's preferences, routines, and needs. This shapes how staff engage with each person from the first day.
Food Safety and Meal Quality
All meals are freshly prepared in-house. Our kitchen follows standard food hygiene practices and can accommodate common dietary needs with advance notice.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Resident and family information is handled with discretion. We follow applicable Hong Kong data privacy ordinances and do not share details without consent.
Cleanliness and Upkeep
Rooms and communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Housekeeping is carried out daily as part of our residential service.
Safe Environment
The home is designed with the physical safety of elderly residents in mind. Staff are trained to be observant and responsive throughout each day.
Family Communication Protocol
We maintain regular, open communication with families. Updates, observations, and any concerns are shared in a clear and timely manner.
Residential Living for the Elderly in Kowloon, Hong Kong
Cedar Harmony occupies a settled address in Kowloon City, one of the older, more characterful districts of Hong Kong. For many families across Kowloon and the wider city, finding a residential home that balances real care with personal independence is not always straightforward. We offer a thoughtful alternative: a home where staff are consistent, routines are stable, and residents have the space to live at their own pace.
Our work is shaped by the realities of ageing in a Hong Kong context. We understand that many families carry a deep sense of responsibility towards their elderly relatives, and that the decision to explore residential care is not taken lightly. Our exploratory stay option exists precisely for this reason — to allow seniors and their families to experience the home before making any longer-term decisions.
We welcome visits from families, and we encourage questions. Cedar Harmony is not the right fit for everyone, and we will always be honest about what we offer and what we do not. Our aim is to make the path forward feel clear, human, and considered.
